For anyone who has yet to read this week's chapter, we finally get to see some eighth division love!

Not only do we get a cool flashback, but KT does us the honour of confirming several facts about our beloved 8th division.

Fact 1: Shunsui was part of the original guard 2 centuries ago. We can probably take that to mean that he has been a captain for as long

Fact 2: Nanao has been his vice captain for at least 100 years, since the flashback is dated "a century earlier" and she was already there.

Fact 3: Ukitake is too cute in this chapter!

Fact 4: Nanao was already bossing him 'round a whole century ago, and he was making lewd comments. Nothing says love like a century or more of teasing :D

I also had to point out two of the panels in which Nanao-chan appears.
In panel one, our dear Nanao-chan is wearing her hair in pigtails (how cute!!!) and her fringe is parted to the other side.
But its panel numer two that I like.... Why Nanao-chan, is that a skirt you're wearing?!?!
This panel opens up so much fic potential



I highly recommend you all to read the chapter, its wintastic. For those who have already read it, care to comment?

Well, Carlos net translations are almost completely different when it comes to the exchange between Shunsui and Lisa. In fact, I have read about three translations from different people and the "short hairs" comment wasn't in any of them except for the one on Bleach Exile. For example, here's one of the other translations:

Lisa: I had to smack his arse to get him up!
Shunsui: Could you please not say things like that in front of the other Captains?

Not only is the dialog different, it's REALLY different. This dialog also fits Shunsui's expression better, don't you think? He looks rather irritated/tired of her antics. He never looks like that at Nanao.

Kyouraku: Save that potty mouth for when we aren’t in front of other captains.

Once again, rather different from the translation used at bleach exile/Onemanga.

Oooh I like those translations much better.... then again, most translations are better than blinktopia. I'd say that those two make a lot more sense, both in terms of Shunsui's expression and his relationship with Nanao. If anything, I'd say that Lisa was too lewd and out there for him and hence Nanao-chan is a nice change from Lisa (at least, thats how my shipper brain likes to look at it :D)

This is sorta the reason I tend to wait to actually download my manga for when M7(I like this particular one, and spacecats aswell) put out a translation before downloading. None to keen about binktopia's translations...
