In the latest episode of Bleach, Shunsui sends Lisa to investigate the dissapearance of Kensei's spiritual pressure. He calls her during the meeting, and she jumps up to the window. He gives her leave, she throws him a quick salute, and...she does something I'm pretty sure she didn't in the manga. As she hits the ground, she takes a quick second to pick something up off the ground. A book? Under closer investigation, the design on its side seems to be the same as that on the side of Nanao's current tome. A momento of Lisa, perhaps? Maybe Nanao is still carrying the book that she used to read once a month with her (supposed) mentor...?

I'm just a li~ttle bit confused. In the chibi Nanao chapter it shows Ise-sama in full shinigami garb, still carrying her gigantic tome. But judging from her appearance she's probably no older than 7 or 8 years old. So does that mean that she graduated the Shinigami Academy even before then? Plus, Shunsui says that he always remembers the name of the youngest girl in the division. I sincerely doubt that includes all of the unseated officers as well.

And I just thought I should mention that I find it's just a lii~ttle bit ~~creepy~~ odd how Nanao grew up to look so much like Lisa. Even their body structure and face are near identical...

Okay, I'm a bit curious about something. If and when Lisa and Nanao meet up again, do you think it will be a happy, ~~boring~~ wonderful reunion type of thing or more of a Soi Fon/ Yoruichi all out battle? Will Lisa even realize it's Nanao? (I'm just realizing how awesome a fanfic of this would be ^^)

Tite Kubo has been hinting at these two for some time now, between him showing Little Nanao (soooo cute~!) asking for Lisa and the fact that she's one of the only shinigami who aren't in the World of the Living, they're bound to have a future in Bleach. Kubo doesn't normally add stuff to the story for the hell of it.
